Having a stock of 1500mm Port Buoys on hand allows NLB to respond quickly to unplanned events such as buoy damage, loss, or the need to establish temporary marks for marine works or changing conditions. The 1500mm model is chosen specifically for its durability, conformity with IALA standards, and suitability for the dynamic marine environment of Oban Bay. This procurement will ensure continuity of service and support NLB’s commitment to maritime safety, operational resilience, and environmental stewardship in one of Scotland’s key marine locations. Quantity and Colour Specification: •Total Units Required (Year 1): 3 units oGreen Buoys: 2 units oRed Buoys: 1 units •Total Units Required (Year 2): 2 units oColour to be confirmed, dictated by operational requirement Please note that, while it is probable that these buoys will be required, the NLB reserves the right to place an order for them only if deemed necessary, with the understanding that Year 2 prices will be adjusted according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). |

Scope
